Miconazole

Miconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption in membrane permeability leads to fungal cell death, effectively clearing the infection.

Dosage by Body Weight

For topical infections, apply a thin layer to the clean, dry affected area twice daily (morning and evening) for 2 to 4 weeks. For vaginal infections, insert the cream or suppository high into the vagina once daily at bedtime for 1, 3, or 7 consecutive days depending on the strength of the product. For oral thrush, apply oral gel to the affected areas of the mouth 4 times daily after meals, keeping it in the mouth for as long as possible before swallowing.
